kéTTé Foundation – Szabó Gábor Timur


Psychologist, environmentalist, experimential educator, adventure therapist. Gabor has
been introduced to corporate outdoor trainings more than two decades ago and raised
almost immediately interest ont he therapeutical application of experiential education:
adventure therapy. In 2004 he was a founding member of the „kéTTé” Foundation and since
than he got involved into the international professional community and also organised some
conferences in order to building bridges to the origins of experiential education and bring
home all the best practices to Hungary.

    NATURE, EVOLUTION and HUMANS Why is outdoor experiential education a good evulotionary fit to human beings? In this workshop we are going to immerse into an exploration why outdoor experiential education is very much tailor made to humans. Evolutionary and environmental psychological theories and data will help us in our little experiment to gain insights why only being in nature settings or even more delibaretely engage into active experiencing is beneficial for our mental health, developes a bunch of social skills and might help to save this planet in face of environmental decline and climate change.
